How do you discover new music?
Every few weeks I listen to a playlist on Spotify and add bops I like. I also listen to lots of lofi, so I’ll find a YouTube or Twitch live radio then go from there. Luckily, I also have amazing musician friends that will share their own music or others.
What formats do you usually listen to? LP, CD, Cassette, Digital, Streaming Services? Why?
Streaming and vinyl when I get a chance! Streaming is for convenience, and vinyl is whenever I have access to a player.

Where do you do most of your music listening?
During my commute with noise cancelling headphones for sure, while I work as well. I have my KRK monitors at home for producing and writing, so listening through them is always nice during the day!
How do you find and listen to pre-release music?
Outside of music that my friends send me for feedback, I’ll occasionally get a link to something via friends in the industry, Twitter, or reddit. It’s rare though!
What are your frustrations with listening to music digitally? Any benefits?
Links in emails are always rough, and Dropbox isn’t quite made for listening to audio. The controls are a bit clunky! I do prefer SoundCloud links if friends are sending music, but of course will listen however I can. I’m definitely an active listener though, so I prefer to set aside time to really hone in versus playing something on the go.
How do you keep track of everything you are listening to?
Playlists – whether through Spotify OR I use this funny iPhone app that lets me add audio from anywhere (Dropbox, Box, iCloud, etc.).
Do you tip other people off to new music? How?
Yes! Honestly anywhere – via text, IG messages, or in Slack.
