He is an amazing curator of quality electronic dance music. He showcases amazing DJ talent from all corners of the globe. I discover so many amazing DJs and producers here that previously were not on my radar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Most of the new music I discover nowadays is usually when I hear a DJ play a good track… There is so much good music out there right now (Shazam gets used a lot too!) Digitally Beatport, Bandcamp & socials & I often check out new releases via labels I follow also. YouTube\u2019s recommendation engine amazing too & I feel it’s not often spoken about enough. I still buy vinyl occasionally and often frequent Soho in London to check out record shops. I have been doing this since I was 13 years old although there is now only a handful left.<\/p>\n\n\n\n My purchases are almost all digital & some Vinyl. As for streaming services, I\u2019m more of a SoundCloud<\/a>\/Mixcloud guy than Spotify. I like Youtube too for the combined visual element and rawness of what you can discover.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I have music playing all the time! Headphones are on when I first wake up, when I\u2019m working, running, walking, travelling, and soundscapes when I\u2019m meditating. I have a full DJ set up in my home – both vinyl turntables and digital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2018MP3\u2019s are an insult to our ears\u2019 <\/em>is a famous quote by Tony Andrews, founder of Funktion One<\/a> who was a keynote speaker at our first \u2018The Future is Sound Summit\u2019. I totally agree – nothing beats good quality audio whether it be analogue or digital. However, being able to play any track I want anytime, anywhere at my fingertips has its advantages. I grew up with only cassettes vinyl & CDs.
