Just shy of an hour out of Toronto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong>Where do you work? What do you do?<\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>I love this question. Currently, I do many different things as the Creative Director of <a href=\"https:\/\/boostcollective.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Boost Collective<\/a>! A few things such as (Client marketing campaign management, Social Media Strategy, Catalogue Management, SEO Blogging, etc.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What are you listening to?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>These days I listen to a lot of Canadian hip hop, specifically Toronto artists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These artists:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/artist\/5olrQpDroHT7sjmYWMLivy?si=91R2_G28SFuTBS4L23V8_g\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Pressa<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/artist\/6jeg7JBX9J9097esK752iR?si=4oVPDm4NQ7OWLShyw4Drbg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Smiley<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/artist\/761R6TmYhSbPNOFfEf80pw?si=3M20AasDS_yWJRqonHIb0g\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Top5<\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How do you discover new music?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>I generally find new music on Spotify discovery, ironically also through <a href=\"https:\/\/byta.com\/compare\/byta-vs-soundcloud-bandcamp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SoundCloud<\/a>. Over 10 years of SoundCloud usage has really tailored my music feed haha. I also listen to practically any song recommended to me. Word of mouth is killer. Of course, I listen to our clients&#8217; music and add whatever I like.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-style-large is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>&#8220;I also listen to practically any song recommended to me. Word of mouth is killer.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What formats do you usually listen to? LP, CD, Cassette, Digital, Streaming Services? Why?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>I haven\u2019t bought a CD in over 10 years. The last time I bought physical music was\u2026 An iTunes gift card, so that I could afford Kanye\u2019s Yeezus album on my iPod. Currently, I pop in my AirPods and play music directly from either Spotify or Apple Music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Where do you do most of your music listening?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>I\u2019m a big podcast guy when out of the house. My music time is often when I\u2019m doing menial home tasks (cooking, cleaning\u2026 Even while I&#8217;m showering, I have my JBL Speakers playing some Drake songs.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How do you find and listen to pre-release music?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>I generally listen to leaks I find on <a href=\"https:\/\/byta.com\/compare\/byta-vs-soundcloud-bandcamp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SoundCloud<\/a> or YouTube.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What are your frustrations with listening to music digitally? Any benefits?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>I\u2019m not a fan of the fact that I don\u2019t actually own the music. Even iTunes doesn\u2019t have ALL the songs that Spotify has, so I am forced to stream. Ideally, I want to buy my music individually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How do you keep track of everything you are listening to?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>I have both a subscription to Apple Music and Spotify. Really I only use Spotify for work.
