What do you do?<\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>I am the founder of <a href=\"https:\/\/marshallstreetstudios.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Marshall Street Studios<\/a>, we are Australia&#8217;s first 24-hour membership based Music studios <em>(think a 24 hour gym, but for artists)<\/em>, I am also the Tour Manager for \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/www.byamaus.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Between You &amp; Me<\/a>\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"what-are-you-listening-to\"><strong>What are you listening to?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>New \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/artist\/1P1y4wp6V0CwjhGcXPKgAu?si=cQc-I0r4RNOqBI2a-LYCQw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Between You and Me<\/a>\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/neckdeepuk.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Neck Deep&nbsp;<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.postmalone.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Post Malone<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/laroifamily.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Kid Laroi<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.juicewrldmerchshop.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Juice Wrld<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Beastie Boys<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"how-do-you-discover-new-music\"><strong>How do you discover new music?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Spotify editorial playlists are a great way to be exposed to new bands and music without doing a heap of work yourself, You can just put a playlist on shuffle and more than likely you will hear something new. However, by the time an artist gets added to playlists they are usually established, to find the latest up-and-coming artists I look at the most trustworthy blogs in each genre, for example, AUD\u2019$ is the leading HipHop platform in Australia, and have always had their finger on the pulse when it comes to new artists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"what-formats-do-you-usually-listen-to-lp-cd-cassette-digital-streaming-services-why\"><strong>What formats do you usually listen to? LP, CD, Cassette, Digital, Streaming Services? Why?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Streaming because I can\u2019t plug in a record player at the gym.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-style-large is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>&#8220;I don\u2019t really care what the system is, I&#8217;ve been around tunes enough to understand the system doesn\u2019t make or break the song, it&#8217;s just the medium to play it on. &#8220;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"where-do-you-do-most-of-your-music-listening\"><strong>Where do you do most of your music listening?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Literally EVERYWHERE! From waking up, then going to the gym, then going to the studio&#8230;there is literally music always going on. I can\u2019t stand silence, I need music even if it\u2019s to go to sleep. I don\u2019t really care what the system is, I&#8217;ve been around tunes enough to understand the system doesn\u2019t make or break the song, it&#8217;s just the medium to play it on. If I really want to check the sonics I will head into the main control room on my own and just sit and listen on a system that my ears know well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"how-do-you-find-and-listen-to-pre-release-music\"><strong>How do you find and listen to pre-release music?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;m fortunate enough to be friends with a lot of bands and artists I listen to, so they usually send me their stuff before it&#8217;s released\u2026.perks of the job!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"what-are-your-frustrations-with-listening-to-music-digitally-any-benefits\"><strong>What are your frustrations with listening to music digitally? Any benefits?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Of course, ads suck, but in comparison to what it was like before the digital age, it&#8217;s not even close!
