I am the Senior Producer for Curbside Concerts Canada<\/a>. We are a live music delivery service. We facilitate entertainment bookings for private parties to corporate events. I am also a \u201clifer\u201d musician<\/a> and performer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I\u2019m diggin\u2019 the new Shovels and Rope album today, but I usually stick to my collection. Blues, roots, classic country, funk, motown, classic rock, 80s, and the odd sprinkle of Snoop Dogg to get hyped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I get pitched music a lot through my producer position, so that\u2019s always a nice way to discover music. I always appreciate getting set links to music I\u2019ve never heard before.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I can\u2019t get rid of my old cassettes, but I don\u2019t have a way to listen to them anymore. I would say I split my listening between vinyl and digital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n “I constantly endorse and encourage others to check out what I\u2019m listening to, especially if it\u2019s independent”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n At home or live at shows. With my gal pals over for wine, I\u2019ll spin vinyl and when I\u2019m having a day of getting work and errands done, I\u2019ll toss on an Apple Music or Spotify list I\u2019ve made.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I am lucky enough to have so many talented friends that are recording artists, so I get sent mixes<\/a> to check out all the time before they are released.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The most obvious frustration of listening to digital music is the bullshit pay artists get for that golden ear candy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I don\u2019t keep track of music.
