What do you do?<\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>I\u2019m the VP of Marketing at LANDR Audio. We offer creators a comprehensive toolkit to create, collaborate and master and distribute their music through a simple set of tools that never compromise on sound or quality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What are you listening to?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>When I\u2019m not working I\u2019m listening to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/music-news\/the-national-trouble-will-find-me-track-by-track-review-1562295\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Trouble Will Find Me<\/a> album by The National for probably the millionth time. While I\u2019m working I\u2019ve usually got a lo-fi playlist and Lav8 does lo-fi covers that keep me focused and energized throughout the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How do you discover new music?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>I\u2019ve been really spoiled since I&#8217;ve been at LANDR because I&#8217;m surrounded by musicians and creators. Our team is probably 80% musicians who are always on top of trends and news and then we\u2019ve got all our Distribution artists releasing music daily. I\u2019ll spend a decent amount of time looking through our <a href=\"https:\/\/join.landr.com\/rising-artist-initiative\/?utm_source=instagram&amp;utm_medium=social&amp;utm_campaign=RisingArtistInitiative&amp;utm_term=RisingArtistInitiative&amp;utm_content=InFeed_Launch\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Rising Artist Initiative <\/a>submissions to discover new music. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>RAI led me to discover <strong>The Laser Society<\/strong>, <strong>Baby Combat<\/strong>, <strong>8BIT WIZRD<\/strong> and <strong>Earth Dad<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What formats do you usually listen to? LP, CD, Cassette, Digital, Streaming Services? Why?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>I listen to most of my music through streaming services strictly for convenience and accessibility but nothing beats a Vinyl when you\u2019re hanging out at home. While I don\u2019t listen to CDs much, I\u2019m incapable of getting rid of any of them &#8211; they\u2019re each a physical representation of a time in my life and it makes me sad that I won\u2019t have that with albums I&#8217;ve downloaded or streamed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-style-large is-style-plain has-medium-font-size is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>&#8220;While I don\u2019t listen to CDs much, I\u2019m incapable of getting rid of any of them &#8211; they\u2019re each a physical representation of a time in my life&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Where do you do most of your music listening?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>I\u2019ve got music on constantly so I&#8217;m listening to it at home as I get ready for work, in the car on my commute and then all day while I&#8217;m working. More and more I&#8217;m finding that artists are starting to involve fans and followers in the process of creating and releasing music so they\u2019ll share tracks they\u2019re working on before they\u2019re released. I pre-save as much as I can so that I don&#8217;t miss anything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What are your frustrations with listening to music digitally? Any benefits?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The lack of revenue artists make from streaming is incredibly frustrating. I spend a lot of time speaking to our LANDR Artists and seeing how much time, energy and talent get put into a track.
