What do you do?<\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>I work as a professional music artist and content creator, with companies like Ditto Music, BBC and other small organisations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What are you listening to?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Trill Troy &#8211; For A Trillion Summers (E.P)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Chronixx &#8211; Same Prayer<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Kendrick Lamar &#8211; Rich Spirit &amp; Silent Hill<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Burna Boy &#8211; 23<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Skilli Beng &#8211; Blessings<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Popcaan &#8211; Family<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How do you discover new music?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>I discover new music in passing, when I&#8217;m out and about, from friends, I never look for it, I just happen on it &#8211; it&#8217;s the best way to discover artists and naturally enjoy the music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rarely ever do I search or look online for new music. Usually, I\u2019ll just be around people who have great playlists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What formats do you usually listen to? LP, CD, Cassette, Digital, Streaming Services? Why?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>I will still indulge and buy a CD or some vinyl from time to time but I consume music solely via streaming platforms \/ DSPs or at LIVE shows!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-style-large is-style-plain has-medium-font-size is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>&#8220;I discover new music in passing, when I&#8217;m out and about, from friends, I never look for it, it&#8217;s the best way to discover and naturally enjoy it.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Where do you do most of your music listening?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>I take music in most whilst I&#8217;m driving, travelling or exploring. It&#8217;s something about the consistency of new visuals that really makes music speak to me; loudly, openly, and clearly. That&#8217;s how I also listen to my own music when curating, testing and perfecting draft versions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also, I enjoy a social gathering, vibing to music that has just been released by an artist like Skepta, Drake or some new artist I may have heard rumblings about.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How do you find and listen to pre-release music?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>I never really do, I\u2019m a fan of music, and I like to enjoy music when all the other fans hear it &#8211; a version of Drake\u2019s album got leaked last year, I had it sent to me, and I never even opened the folder. It would just wreck my future experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What are your frustrations with listening to music digitally? Any benefits?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>My only frustrations are that it\u2019s difficult to really remember because music is processed like microwave food, quickly, here today, gone tomorrow, so I appreciated artists who really give the music an extra push and long out the campaigns and promotion around it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Links in my emails I ignore, I don\u2019t really <a href=\"https:\/\/byta.com\/resources\/whitepaper\/state-of-music-sharing-2021\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">download music<\/a> at all if I\u2019m being honest, and who uses <a href=\"https:\/\/byta.com\/compare\/byta-vs-soundcloud-bandcamp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SoundCloud<\/a>?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>&#8220;Links in my emails I ignore, I don\u2019t really download music at all if I\u2019m being honest&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How do you keep track of everything you are listening to?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>I use Apple Music to stream, all the things I play are in my search history.
