I work in the Publicity, International and A&R departments for Sub Pop. Alongside my co-worker in the publicity department, I handle national and regional press campaigns for our artists. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I also oversee international marketing for the label in Canada, Mexico and LATAM, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and Israel as well as working in the A&R department. As you can tell, I enjoy wearing a variety of tiny hats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What are you listening to?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\nSome new things that I have been digging on lately are: Hiding Places, Cola, Rosali, Lifeguard, Vanishing Twin, Winged Wheel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
How do you discover new music?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\nMusic discovery for me is a mix of word of mouth (friends and record store recommendations), magazines\/online websites like Pitchfork, Stereogum, Wire, Aquarium Drunkard and DSPs. Most of my music discovery these days comes from Bandcamp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What formats do you usually listen to? LP, CD, Cassette, Digital, Streaming Services? Why?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\nWhile my husband and I own thousands of LPs most of my listening these days is digitally through Spotify\/Sonos. I\u2019ve been known to bust out a tape or CD too though.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It does warm my heart though that my daughter can sing along to \u201cCoconut\u201d by Harry Nilsen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
