By linking your Byta account with Mailchimp easily share music links of your streams and downloads. Byta generates a code snippet that you paste directly into your Mailchimp campaign templates. When recipients click through, they are directed to Byta to stream or download your music. Using Byta for your sharing your audio gives you increased transparency as to who exactly is listening and downloading your audio. Ready to get started? Read more below.
Linking Mailchimp to Byta
- Generate and Copy Your API
Locate and copy your Mailchimp API from Mailchimp. - Visit your Byta Account Page
Navigate to your Byta Account page by clicking on your user menu button (bottom left of your browser). - Add your API key to the Mailchimp field.
Once pasted click the “add key” button and will be notified if it is successful. If there is a problem please check your API key to ensure you are not missing any characters. If the problem persists please contact us.
Once complete, you should now be able to visit the Share page, attach audio and select Mailchimp from the Share type page.

Adding your Mailchimp Contacts to Byta
Byta offers an additional feature for connected Mailchimp accounts. If you wish to send out your audio directly to your Mailchimp contacts, (skipping the step of building a custom Mailchimp email) then you can simply import them to Byta and then search for your contacts via the share page, and share as a Direct Link. Read more about Direct Links here. You can update your contacts at any time by revisiting your Account Page and simply clicking the “Import contacts” button.
